Public Safety Bureau to Host Roundtable on May 15 Regarding False Alerts

The Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau will be hosting a public roundtable on May 15, 2018 to discuss its recent Report surrounding its investigation into the Hawaii false ballistic missile alert. The Report identifies best practices to guard against the issuance of false alerts, and ways to correct misinformation and mitigate the consequences.

The roundtable will be held at the FCC and will also be streamed at http://www.fcc.gov/live. A future public notice will provide further details regarding the workshop participants, roundtable discussion topics and administrative information.
