FCC Sets Comment Dates for Anti-Spoofing NPRM

On March 4, 2019, the Commission published in the Federal Register the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (“NPRM”) Implementing the Anti-Spoofing Provisions of the Ray Baum’s Act adopted in the February Open Meeting (WC Docket Nos. 18-335, 11-39). The NPRM proposes and seeks comment on modifications to the Truth in Caller ID rules designed to prevent inaccurate or misleading calling ID information from harming consumers.

Comments are due April 3, 2019.
