On June 3, 2019, the Commission released a Public Notice announcing the winning bidders of the 28 GHz Upper Microwave Flexible Use Service Licenses Auction (“Auction 101”) (AU Docket No. 18-85). Auction 101 raised a total of $700,309,809 in net bids, with 33 bidders winning a total of 2,965 licenses.
Bidding for Auction 101 concluded on January 24, 2019 and certain bidding results were released shortly after. The Commission now releases more detailed information that was previously withheld, including bidders’ license selections, upfront payment amounts, bidding eligibility, bids, and other bidding-related actions.
The top three winners were: Verizon (1,066 licenses won), T-Mobile (865 licenses won), and United States Cellular Corporation (408 licenses won).

- Attachment C: Withdrawals/Payment Summary
The FCC’s Anti-Collusion rule will remain in effect until the down-payment deadline for Auction 102, which is June 17, 2019. At that time, the period of prohibited communications for both Auction 101 and 102 will end.
