Medicaid-Lifeline Automated Connection Goes Live

On September 18, 2019, the Commission issued a Release announcing that a nationwide automated connection between the Medicaid program and Lifeline National Eligibility Verifier went live on September 17. This connection allows automatic eligibility verification of up to 60% of the Lifeline-eligible population.

The National Eligibility Verifier was created in 2016 as an independent third-party verification process and has launched in 38 states and territories. USAC is working to roll out the Verifier to the rest of the United States by the end of the year.
