FCC Releases Non-Substantive Rule Revisions Order

On Friday, December 6, 2019, the FCC Managing Director released an Order announcing non-substantive revisions to parts 1, 20, and 43 of the Commission’s rules, in conformance with the recent Report and Order in the Establishing the Digital Opportunity Data Collection and Modernizing the Form 477 proceedings (WC Docket Nos. 19-195, 11-10).

The Order eliminates a redundant and obsolete provision and revises other related provisions of the rules for consistency. Specifically, it eliminates Section 43.01(d) for redundancy, revises Sections 20.15(b)(1) and 43.01(b) for conformity with recent Commission amendments, and corrects an error in Section 1.7001(a)(2)(iv).

The rule changes in this Order will be effective upon publication in the Federal Register.
