FCC Publishes PR/USVI Fund Petition for Reconsideration in the Federal Register

On Thursday, January 2, 2020, the Commission published in the Federal Register a Petition for Reconsideration (“Petition”) filed in the Uniendo a Puerto Rico Fund and the Connect USVI Fund proceeding, on behalf of Virgin Islands Telephone Corp. (“Viya”) (WC Docket Nos. 18-143, 10-90, 14-58). The Petition seeks clarification, or in the alternative, reconsideration, of a limited determination by the Commission regarding the appropriate resiliency scoring for buried coaxial cable, as proposed in competitive proposals seeking Stage 2 fixed funding from the Connect USVI Fund and the Uniendo a Puerto Rico Fund.

Oppositions to the Petition are due January 17, 2020.
