FCC Announces C-Band Winning Bidders

On February 24, 2021, the FCC released a Public Notice announcing the winning bidders in the C-Band Auction.  Overall, 21 bidders won all 5,684 available licenses, net winning bids totaled $81,114,481,921, and gross winning bids totaled $81,168,677,645.  The top three winning bidders by total gross winning bid were:

 

  • Verizon (Cellco Partnership) – $45,454,843,197 for 3,511 licenses
  • AT&T – $23,406,860,839 for 1,621 licenses
  • T-Mobile – $9,336,125,147 for 142 licenses

 

The full list of winning bidders is contained in Attachment A.  The winning bidders’ payment requirements are detailed in Attachment B.

 

Down payments are due on March 10, 2021 before 6:00 PM Eastern Time, and final payments are due on March 24, 2021 before 6:00 PM Eastern Time.  Long form applications are due on March 10, 2021 before 6:00 PM Eastern Time.  The anti-collusion rules prohibiting certain communications remain in effect until down payment deadline, March 10, 2021 at 6:00 PM Eastern Time.
