Electronic Filings for Wireless Radio Required Beginning June 29, 2021

On Friday, June 11, 2021, the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau and Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau (“Bureaus”) released a Public Notice (DA 21-685) reminding all Wireless Radio applicants, licensees, registrants and interested parties (“parties”) of changes to the Commission’s e-licensing rules.  Beginning June 29, 2021, all Wireless Radio parties must utilize electronic filing for the following:  1) to file all applications for Wireless Radio Services electronically via the Universal Licensing System (“ULS”) and/or the Antenna Structure Registration System (“ASR”); 2) to file all pleadings, and delivery of service, related to these systems, electronically; and 3) to provide an email address on all related FCC forms.  As of June 29, 2021, all manually filed applications and pleadings will be dismissed for failure to comply.

The Bureaus also reminded parties that as of June 29, 2021, all FCC correspondence related to Wireless Radio Services will be delivered electronically to the email address on file for the party.  Therefore, the Bureaus encourage all parties without a valid email address on file for forms submitted prior to June 29, 2021, to file an administrative update and/or application amendment to include a valid email address.  Failure to provide an updated email address will result in missing important FCC correspondence including application return letters, license construction reminders, and license renewal reminders.
