FCC Publishes Text-to-988 FNPRM in the Federal Register

June 14, 2021

On June 11, 2021, the FCC published in the Federal Register the Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking seeking comment on expanding access to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline by requiring covered text providers to support text messages to 988, thereby setting the comment dates.

Comments are due on or before July 12, 2021.

Reply comments are due on or before August 10, 2021.
