On September 23, 2021, the FCC published in the Federal Register the Report and Order establishing a streamlined process for private entities to submit information about unlawful, unwanted calls, thereby setting the effective date. A summary of the item is included below.
The Report and Order is effective October 25, 2021. Compliance with Section 64.1204(a) (entitled “Private Entity Submissions of Robocall Violations”) and Section 64.1606 (entitled “Private Entity Submissions of Spoofing Violations”) will not be required until the Office of Management and Budget approves the two sections and the FCC publishes a document in the Federal Register announcing the compliance date.
