2021 Children’s Programming Reports and Commercial Compliance Due Jan. 31, 2022

This is a reminder that commercial full-power and Class A television stations are required to file their Children’s Commercial Compliance Certifications and Children’s Programming Reports by January 31, 2022. The established annual deadline for this filing is January 30; it moves to January 31 this year because January 30th falls on a Sunday.

Children’s TV Commercial Compliance Certification:  The FCC requires all commercial full-power and Class A television stations to upload to their online public inspection file an annual certification of compliance with the commercial limits in children’s TV programming, covering the period January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021, by January 31, 2022.

Children’s TV Programming Report:  The FCC requires that each commercial full power and Class A television station file on an annual basis a Children’s Television Programming Report (“Kid Vid” Report) reflecting efforts made by the licensee during the preceding year (Jan 1, 2021 – Dec. 31, 2021) to serve the educational and informational needs of children.  This Report is filed on FCC Form 2100, Schedule H and must be submitted in LMS by January 31, 2022.   More information can be found on the FCC’s website: https://www.fcc.gov/media/television/childrens-educational-television-reporting-form-2100-schedule-h
