Initial Supply Chain Annual Report Due May 5, 2022

On February 4, 2022, the Office of Economics and Analytics and Wireline Competition Bureau released a Public Notice announcing the establishment of the Supply Chain Annual Reporting Portal.  All providers of advanced communications services are required to report the extent to which their networks contain or used covered equipment or services.  The initial report must be filed on or before May 5, 2022.  The portal can be found at https://www.fcc.gov/supplychain.  As this is a new information collection, past participation in the 2019 Supply Chain Information Collection does not constitute compliance with this reporting requirement.

\Thereafter, providers that have certified they have purchased, rented, leased, or otherwise obtained covered equipment and services are required to file a report once a year on or before March 31, detailing the covered equipment and services in their networks as of December 31 of the previous year until such equipment or services are removed.  Providers that certify they do not have any covered communications equipment or services are not required to file subsequent reports, unless additional equipment is added to the covered list and the provider can no longer certify it does not have any covered communications equipment or services to report.  Providers that have previously certified that they did not have covered equipment or services must file a report on such equipment when it is obtained and then annually until it is removed.
