On July 11, 2022, the Office of Economics and Analytics and Wireless Telecommunications Bureau released a Public Notice announcing that 82 applicants have been qualified as bidders for Auction 108, which will offer new flexible-use geographic overlay licenses in the 2.5 GHz band. Attachment A contains a list of the 82 qualified bidders and also indicates whether the applicant has claimed eligibility for a small business or rural service provider bidding credit. Attachment B lists the 11 applicants that were found not qualified to participate in Auction 108. All applicants, including applicants found not qualified to participate, remain subject to the rule prohibiting certain communications until the close of the down payment deadline.
Bidding in Auction 108 will begin on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time. The opening bid amounts for each license are available at www.fcc.gov/auction/108 at the “Updated (4/15/2022)” link. Bidders will receive round results typically within 15 minutes after the close of each round.
