FCC Reminds Rip and Replace Participants Next Status Update Due July 10

On June 12, 2023, the Wireline Competition Bureau (“Bureau”) released a Public Notice (“Notice”) reminding Recipients in the Secure and Trusted Communications Networks Reimbursement Program (“Reimbursement Program”) of their obligation to file status updates with the Commission every 90 days, beginning on the date on which the Bureau approved a Recipient’s application, unless the obligation to file expires.  All Recipients must file their next status update on July 10, 2023.

As a reminder, the status update should update the Commission on the Recipient’s work to permanently remove, replace, and dispose of covered communications equipment or services in its communications network, including efforts undertaken and challenges encounter in performing that work, and the Recipient’s status of compliance with requirements in the Reimbursement Program.  Further information on the specific information and certifications that must be included in the status update can be found in the Bureau’s Initial Status Update PN.  Status updates are submitted by completing FCC Form 5640 Part K: Status Updates in the online portal, available at: https://fccprod.servicenowservices.com/scrp.  Any requests for confidential treatment must be submitted by filing a written request electronically in WC Docket No. 18-89 in the Commission’s Electronic Comment Filing System (ECFS), https://www.fcc.gov/ecfs.
