On October 10, 2023, the FCC published in the Federal Register notice that the Office of Management and Budget had approved the rules adopted in the November 17, 2022 Broadband Label Report and Order, and the new label template with the updated ACP website (GetInternet.gov (Spanish version: AccedeaInternet.gov)) that was adopted in the July 18, 2023 Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau Order.
Compliance with the label display requirements in 47 CFR §§ 8.1(a)(1), (a)(2), and (a)(4) through (a)(6) is required by:
- April 10, 2024 for providers with greater than 100,000 subscriber lines.
- October 10, 2024 for providers with 100,000 or fewer subscriber lines.
Compliance with the requirement in 47 CFR § 8.1(a)(2) to make labels accessible in online account portals and with the requirement in § 8.1(a)(3) to make information in the label available in a machine-readable format, is required for by:
- October 10, 2024 for all providers.
The Consumer and Government Affairs Bureau also released a Public Notice announcing the compliance dates.
