- JUNE OPEN MEETING AGENDA
- On 5/30, the FCC released the Agenda for the June Open Meeting scheduled for Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 10:30 AM. The Commission is tentatively scheduled to consider four items, including a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking that would increase the security of the information routed across the internet and promote national security by requiring broadband providers to report on their progress in addressing vulnerabilities in the Border Gateway Protocol. - NET NEUTRALITY
- On 5/29, the FCC published in the Federal Register the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (“NPRM”) seeking comment on a proposal to require wireless carriers to implement a georouting solution for calls to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (“988 Lifeline” or “Lifeline”), thereby setting the comment and reply comment dates. - On 5/13, the FCC published in the Federal Register the Public Notice (“PN”) seeking comment on specific mechanisms to implement multilingual Wireless Emergency Alerts (“WEA”), thereby setting the comment and reply comment dates.
