On August 26, 2025, the FCC published in the Federal Register the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (“NRPM”) reexamining the Emergency Alert System (“EAS”) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (“WEA”) “from the ground up” and exploring whether fundamental changes to these systems are necessary.
Comments are due on or before September 25, 2025.
