This client alert is a reminder that both the FCC Form 499-Q and Numbering Resource Utilization/Forecast Report (“NRUF”) Form 502 must be submitted on or before Monday, February 2, 2026. Requirements and filing instructions are provided below.
FCC Form 499-Q: All non de minimis telecommunications carriers that provide interstate telecommunications services are required to file a quarterly FCC Form 499-Q Telecommunications Reporting Worksheet. Carriers must provide revenue information from the period of October 1 – December 31, 2025, and revenue projections for the period of April 1 – June 30, 2026. FCC Form 499-Q and instructions are available through USAC and completed Form 499-Qs should be filed electronically through the USAC website.
NRUF Form 502: The North American Numbering Plan Administrator (“NANPA”) is required to collect, store, and maintain number resource utilization and forecast data. Therefore, the FCC directs that NANPA number assignees holding geographic and/or certain non-geographic telephone numbers must report on their holdings twice each year (February and August) using Form 502. Form 502 is available online, along with a collection of instruction manuals and guidance documents and users may use NANPA’s online system to complete and submit their Form 502s.
