On June 24, 2026, the FCC published the Sixth Report and Order and Fifth Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (“Order” and “FNPRM,” respectively) streamlining the Broadband Data Collection (“BDC”) and National Broadband Map (“NBM”) processes and seeking comment on proposals to further enhance efficiency while maintaining accurate BDC data in the Federal Register. Per the Order’s Federal Register publication, the adopted rules are effective July 24, 2026.
Per the FNPRM’s Federal Register publication, comments are due on July 24, 2026.
