Kaya DeRose

Associate Attorney

Kaya joined TLP in September 2024. She assists telecommunications clients on a variety of regulatory, transactional, and compliance issues before the Federal Communications Commission and regulatory entities. Kaya stays apprised of FCC rulemaking proceedings, monitors relevant changes, and assists with drafting and filing responses to the FCC. Kaya has extensive legal research and writing experience, which she utilizes to advocate for clients before the FCC and other regulatory bodies.

Kaya is a graduate of the Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law where she was a managing editor of the Journal of Law and Technology and president of the Law and Technology Student’s Association. During law school, she interned at the Network Advertising Initiative and the FCC’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau, Front Office. Kaya is the current president of the Catholic University’s Law and Technology Institute Alumni Association.

Prior to joining TLP, Kaya clerked for the Honorable Monise A. Brown on the Circuit Court for Charles County, Maryland, where she gained substantial experience in legal research and writing, civil procedure, and civil litigation.
