For more information and to view a copy of the Tentative Agenda, see our post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tlp.law\/2024\/02\/23\/fcc-releases-march-open-meeting-tentative-agenda-2\/\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>WIRELESS EMERGENCY ALERTS<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>On 2\/15, the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau (\u201cBureau\u201d) released a Public Notice seeking comment on specific mechanisms to implement multilingual Wireless Emergency Alerts (\u201cWEA\u201d). For more information and to view a copy of the Notice, see our post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tlp.law\/2024\/02\/22\/fcc-releases-adopted-wea-accessibility-report-and-order-3\/\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>TELEPHONE CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>On 2\/16, the FCC released the Report and Order and Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (\u201cR&amp;O\u201d and \u201cFNPRM\u201d respectively) codifying certain consumer protections under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (\u201cTCPA\u201d) and proposing to clarify that the TCPA applies to robocalls and robotexts from wireless providers to their own subscribers. \u00a0The item was adopted at the February Open Commission Meeting. For more information and to view a copy of the item, see our post<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tlp.law\/2024\/02\/29\/fcc-releases-adopted-tcpa-ro-and-fnprm\/\"> here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>ROBOCALLS<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>On 2\/22, the Enforcement Bureau (\u201cBureau\u201d) released two Orders removing 13 entities from the Robocall Mitigation Database (\u201cDatabase\u201d) due to failure to cure deficient certifications. For more information and to view the two orders,\u00a0see our post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tlp.law\/2024\/02\/23\/fcc-removes-various-entities-from-robocall-mitigation-database\/\">here.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>ACCESSIBILITY RECORDKEEPING<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>On 2\/26, the FCC released a Public Notice reminding service providers (and equipment manufacturers) that are subject to the accessibility requirements of sections 255, 716, or 718 of the Communications Act, of their obligation to file their annual recordkeeping compliance certifications and required contact information no later than April 1, 2024 in the Recordkeeping Compliance Certification and Contact Information Registry (\u201cRCCCI Registry\u201d). For more information and to view a copy the Notice, see our post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tlp.law\/2024\/02\/29\/accessibility-recordkeeping-certification-due-april-1\/\">here.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>6 GHZ<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>On 2\/23, the Office of Engineering and Technology (\u201cOET\u201d) released a Public Notice announcing the approval of seven 6 GHz band automated frequency coordination (\u201cAFC\u201d) systems for commercial operations and seeking comment on C3 Spectra\u2019s proposed AFC system. \u00a0For additional information and to view a copy of the Notice, see our post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tlp.law\/2024\/02\/29\/fcc-approves-certain-6-ghz-afc-systems\/\">here.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>2.5 GHZ BAND<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>On 2\/27, the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau and Office of Economics and Analytics released a Memorandum Opinion and Order (\u201cOrder\u201d) granting T-Mobile\u2019s Auction 108 Form 601 application for licenses in the 2.5 GHz band (2495-2690 MHz), subject to certain divestiture conditions.\u00a0 The Order also denies AT&amp;T\u2019s Petition to Deny.
