The FCC considered five items, including a Report and Order and Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking creating a voluntary cybersecurity labeling program for wireless consumer IoT products, a Report adopting a new broadband speed benchmark, and a Report and Order and Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking adopting a framework for supplemental coverage from space.\u00a0 For more information and to view a copy of the Agenda, see our post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tlp.law\/2024\/03\/08\/fcc-releases-march-open-meeting-agenda-5\/\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>LOCATION BASED ROUTING<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>On 3\/14, the FCC published in the Federal Register the Report and Order (\u201cR&amp;O\u201d) adopting rules requiring Commercial Mobile Radio Service (\u201cCMRS\u201d) providers to deploy location-based routing (\u201cLBR\u201d) technology to route IP-originated wireless 911 calls and real-time-text (\u201cRTT\u201d) communications to the appropriate public safety answering point (\u201cPSAP\u201d), thereby setting the compliance and effective dates.
