On April 11, 2023, the FCC published in the Federal Register the Report and Order adopting rules related to blocking of robotext messages that are highly likely to be illegal, thereby setting the effective date.
The Report and Order is effective May 11, 2023. Compliance, however, is not required until six months after OMB approves the rules. A subsequent notice announcing OMB approval and the compliance date will be published in the Federal Register at a later date.
