FCC Publishes Mandatory DIRS Reporting FNPRM in Fed. Reg.

April 4, 2024

On March 29, 2024, the FCC published in the Federal Register the Second Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking seeking comment on whether to require broadcasters, satellite providers, FirstNet, and broadband internet access service providers to report in DIRS and otherwise comply with the requirements in the Second Report and Order, thereby setting the comment and reply comment dates.

Comments are due on or before April 29, 2024.

Reply comments are due on or before May 28, 2024.

The Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau also released a Public Notice announcing the comment dates.
