Form 499-Q Due Monday, August 3, 2020

This is a reminder to our clients of the upcoming deadline for filing the FCC Form 499-Q and supporting documentation. All non de minimis telecommunications carriers that provide interstate telecommunications services are required to file an FCC Form 499-Q Telecommunications Reporting Worksheet with the Commission on or before Monday, August 3, 2020 (since August 1 falls on a weekend this year). Carriers must provide revenue information for April 1 through June 30, 2020 and projections for October 1 through December 31, 2020.

As a reminder, the Universal Service Administration Company (“USAC”) made some minor modifications to the Form 499-Q filing requirements. Interconnected VoIP and CMRS providers that rely on a traffic study to report interstate revenues no longer need to include the traffic study in the quarterly reporting filing. However, these providers must save a copy of this study to submit them as documentation to report interstate and international jurisdictions on the FCC Form 499-A.

The form and filing instructions may be found at: https://www.usac.org/service-providers/contributing-to-the-usf/forms-to-file/.
