FCC Extends Comment Deadline for Broadband DATA Collection Technical Requirements PN

On August 25, 2021, the Broadband Data Task Force issued an Order Granting Extension of Time.  The Order grants in part a motion filed by the California Public Utilities Commission (“CPUC”) and extends by two weeks the deadline to file Comments and Reply Comments to the FCC’s Public Notice, described below, seeking comment on the technical requirements of the mobile challenge, verification, and crowdsourcing processes for the Broadband Data Collection.  The CPUC had requested a 30 day extension, which the Task Force found was not warranted, but did concede that an extension of fourteen days was justified due to complications from COVID-19 that impacted the CPUC’s consultant’s ability to provide statistical analysis responsive to the Notice.
