On March 13, 2023, the FCC published in the Federal Register the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (“NPRM”) seeking comment on several rules to implement the Safe Connections Act of 2022, which provides statutory support for specific measures to benefit survivors of domestic violence and abuse.
Comments are due on or before April 12, 2023.
Reply comments are due on or before May 12, 2023.
Of note, comments related to the proposed information collection must be submitted by the public and the Office of Management and Budget on or before May 12, 2023 as well. This will likely result in a shorter implementation timeline after a Report and Order is adopted.
