FCC Grants 2.5 GHz Licenses in Rural Tribal Priority Window

On October 23, 2020, the Commission announced that it has issued the first set of spectrum licenses through the Rural Tribal Priority Window.  The Wireless Telecommunications Bureau formally granted 154 applications for use of the 2.5 GHz band to provide broadband and other advanced wireless services to rural Tribal communities.  The licenses provide for exclusive use of up to 117.5 megahertz of 2.5 GHz band spectrum.

The Commission provided lists of granted applications organized by applicant and by state.

FCC staff is continuing to review and process applications filed in the priority window; information on application processing and status can be found at www.fcc.gov/ruraltribalwindowupdates.
